Brad Kudlac, the GEAR UP coordinator and principal at Culver Middle School, knows firsthand the importance of early exposure to a college campus and the influence of teachers and parents on student outcomes.

 

We're thankful for the dedication of Carrie Davis, Yoncalla High School's GEAR UP coordinator, business and health teacher, and FBLA advisor extraordinaire.

 

Good things are happening at Pacific High School in Port Orford, thanks to the leadership and teamwork of Principal Krista Nieraeth and GEAR UP Coordinator Cindy Pogwizd.

 

"GEAR UP has been a gateway for increasing parent and community involvement in our schools," says Majalise Tolan, principal of Taft 7-12 in Lincoln City.

 

Jennifer Hodges works with the "best team ever" implementing GEAR UP and a college-going culture at Ponderosa Middle School and Klamath Union High School in Klamath Falls.

 

A native of Powers (population 674), Superintendent/Principal (and avid fly fisherman) Matt Shorb wants all students in his district to see college as an expectation like he did.
