One of the best things about college so far is the freedom to do your own thing and become your own person.
How has GEAR UP helped you?
GEAR UP really helped me decide which college I wanted to go to and helped provide the money to make it possible.
What are your future career plans?
I would either like to write or take pictures for newspapers/magazines/blogs/any kind of media, really.
What advice do you have for middle and high school students currently in the GEAR UP program?
Definitely participate in everything you can and listen to the advice they have to give you. And when the time comes, fill out every single scholarship you’re even remotely eligible for. Every penny counts.
