Oregon GEAR UP works with specific rural, low-income schools across Oregon. We serve all of Oregon's low-income serving middle and high schools with college readiness resources, statewide events and more. Take advantage of the following opportunities:
Use our toolkits, publications and searchable resource directory to help prepare students for college and career.
The Oregon GEAR UP newsletter comes out every Wednesday during the school year. Information is geared towards educators and college access professionals with updates on recent news and research as well as upcoming scholarships, professional development opportunities, and other important dates.
College checklists and additional information for educators, students and families as well as events to support seniors on the path to college: College Application Week, College Cash Campaign and Decision Day.
Low-income, rural Oregon schools can apply to join our two-year Affiliate Program to bring GEAR UP to your school(s) with the goal of developing and sustaining a college-going culture. Applications open February 1.
Oregon schools may apply for funds up to $750/visit for school field trips to college campuses and college fairs. Funds may be used for transportation, substitutes for teachers attending the field trip, and meals. Schools will be reimbursed after the visit. Funds are first-come, first-served.
